The history of chocolate...

Year 4 have been looking at the History of Chocolate...

This involved lots of discussion, tasting and making.

See the pictures of when we tried different types of chocolate.
We tried some that were high in cocoa as this represented the kind of chocolate the Mayans and Aztecs would have eaten and also some with Milk in to represent the 21st Century chocolate. Some even had a bit of chilli in (see facial expressions).

We also made an authentic Mayan hot chocolate but we did put milk in (the Mayans wouldn't of had this).
